I was thoroughly engrossed in this book from page one. I did not want to stop reading until I was finished with entire book. I enjoyed the symbolism throughout and the historical aspect that connects the spiritual and religious realms. Great detail that was able to let me envision the setting. I would recommend this book to any horror afficianado. Finished it in one reading and was sorry when it ended.
Captured from page one! Felt like I was on the plantation myself. Could relate to each and every character. Loved to hate the evil. Looking forward to Ezra's next adventure.

This was a great book. I finally was able to finish it when flying to Colorado recently and I thoroughly enjoyed it!
I enjoyed reading this book. It was written with just enough detail needed to visualize, making it more interesting to read. From the beginning, it captured my attention and was hard to put down. I'm looking forward to reading more from this author.
A powerful and thrilling book. Reading a majority of the book during night hours, to further enhance the thrill, left me constantly shifting on the bed, terrified, and unable to fall asleep. A book well written, gripping, and definitely worth the read.
The characters are shallow and cliche. The story could be good if I didn't find the characters ridiculous. This is similar to a pretty good high school english lit paper.
